Battle of the Books - An Update!
Thrall Library has put together some of its fiercest warrior readers for Battle of the Books,
coming up soon on September 8th!
Our teens, grades 6-12 have been working incredibly hard to make our inaugural trip to Battle
be a successful one. During Battle the participants will have their knowledge tested on 8
different books from different genres against other library districts throughout RCLS.
First place winners could take home $250! So if you want to come support YOUR library,
the Battle will take place at the Pearl River library at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 8th.

General Information
Registration is required for all programs except the First Steps toddler program.
Registration starts on Monday, Sept. 8th for all patrons with active RCLS library cards.
Register:
Monday - Thursday: 9 am - 8 pm.
Friday: 9 am - 6 pm.
A valid library card must be presented at registration.
Children must be the specified age for the program by the first day of that program.
First Steps
Ages 18 months to 35 months.
Must be accompanied by an adult.
Drop-in for stories, finger plays, and/or songs.
Wednesdays, 9:30 am - 10 am.
No registration required.

Regents Exams

Regents Exam Prep Center
was developed by the Oswego City School District to help students
prepare for New York State Regents Exams.
It covers mathematics, science and history regents and includes
study strategies, formula sheets, thematic reviews and old examinations.
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) provides old exams
with answers at their
State Assessment
website.
The
New York State Library
also provides digital copies of exams for all subjects.
Regents Examination schedules can be accessed from
here.
The library also has
Barron's Review Guides
for many subjects.

Registration for the 2008 Summer Reading program at
Middletown Thrall Library will begin on Monday, June 9, 2008
and continue through Monday June 30, 2008.
Registration requires a vaild library card and must be done in person.
The Summer Reading Program starts on Monday July 7, 2008 and continues
up to Monday, August 4, 2008.

popular "Come Draw with Me" series in the Children's Department.
This program is held on Saturdays for the age range of 7 to 12 years old.
There is a program limit of 15 participants, who must be Middletown Thrall Library card holders.
