Campus Tours

College Navigator
Provides direct links to approximately 7,000 college and universities in the U.S. This National Center for Education Statistics website has lots of information.
Historically Black Colleges and Universities
This site includes links to HBCU websites as well as articles concerning the HBCU experience.

Peterson's is in the business to sell products, but they also offer some great services and information for free. This site is worth the time to explore.

A scholarship search service that matches a profile provided by you to scholarship possibilities from their database of over 275,000 scholarships. Although it is free, you must register, and with your permission, your profile will be given to the site's sponsors.
United States Department of Education - Student Financial Assistance
Information concerning federal government grants and loans as well as links to state and funding sources. Includes an electronic version of the FAFSA and a listing of the Title IV codes.
Higher Education Services Corporation
HESC is the New York State agency in charge of coordinating access to financial aid.

Distance Education and Training Council
The Council serves as an information clearinghouse and accreditor for the distance study/correspondence school field. Their site has a directory of accredited institutions, accessible alphabetically and by subject.

New York State's Distance Learning Center
Excelsior College
Excelsior College, formerly Regents College, was originally founded in 1971 as the external degree program of the University of the State of New York. It is now a private independently chartered institution based in Albany that grants degrees in business, nursing, liberal arts and technology. Regents College provides the opportunity to receive credit for college level achievement and knowledge through testing and evaluation.

This site has a great annotated link directory of online colleges, Internet universities, and training institutes including accreditation status.
