Tips & Special Features:

There are a number of ways to browse or search this massive database. Since "World Music" contains a necessarily incredible variety of musical performers and styles, you might find it more enjoyable and interesting to browse and discover interesting performances as you navigate this database.

If you do know the title of a song or a performer, you can use the search box at the top of the database page to search by keyword, genre, album title, musical instrument, or other criteria. The default search is a keyword search.

If you are looking for musical talent of a variety rarely heard on popular radio stations in the United States, you will be pleasantly surprised by the sheer volume of variety in this database.

If, on the other hand, you are looking for popular contemporary recording artists and bands from the U.S., you will not find that here. Instead, you might want to search the library catalog to locate available music of that variety in our library system.
