Tips & Special Features:

When searching, you can check one or more of the following reading age limits: Adults, Teens, Older Kids, or Younger Kids.

After searching, several tabs appear over the search results: All Results, Books, Author Biographies, Author Read-alikes, Book Discussion Guides, Feature Articles, Recommended Reads, What We're Reading, Series.

You can click any of these search tabs to view only those search results.

To the left of search results is a "Narrow Results" panel where you can click on groups of search results by subtopics.

For total control over your search, click the "Advanced Search" link at the top of the database page. Once you do that you will see a new search page with numerous options you can select, such as Reading and Grade Levels, Year of Publication, Number of Pages, an Author's Cultural Identity, whether or not you want only "Award Winning" titles provided, and more.

The Advanced Search mode also lets you search multiple fields simultaneously, including Author names, titles, series title (if a book is part of a larger series), ISBN, subject, or genre.

If you ever wanted to locate other titles in a series and find out the order of those titles, Novelist can help you do that. Just enter the author or title of a series or the name of a series and click on one of the titles listed in the search results. In the title's record there should be a "series" link you can click.
