How Do I Get an E-mail Address? There are two options. You can get the Internet at home by subscribing to a company called an ISP - Internet Service Provider (such as Warwick.net) - which gives you not only e-mail but also full access to the Internet. Your second option is to establish an e-mail account at one of several popular free e-mail account providers on the Internet, such as Microsoft's Hotmail.com. You will need to register, providing information about yourself, and then you will choose a user name and password, which you will later use to access your e-mail. E-mail services such as Hotmail.com are called "web mail" accounts, because you can access them wherever you can access the Internet - at home, in the library or anywhere else. |
