Mr. Pfisterer told the Board that if they were interested in being on the Budget Committee to please e-mail him and they would meet before the next Board meeting. G. Financial Officer's Report A copy of the accounts and balances are attached to the official minutes. H. Committee Reports Mrs. Crown moved that the regular monthly disbursements for March, 2018 in the amount of $77,845.64 having been audited by Rosa Boyd and found to be correct, be approved. (04/11/18 - 22) BUDGET AMENDMENT #1 Mrs. Crown moved that the Board of Trustees of Middletown Thrall Library amend the 2018 budget to be increased as follows: ADD Revenue L2705 Stewart's Shops Holiday Match grant $400.00 ADD Appropriations L7410.8425.12.0001.0 Programs & Supplies $400.00 Children's/YA Mr. Berkowitz seconded. Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Boyd, Crown, Sciucco - 6 Noes: None Motion declared approved. (04/11/18 - 23) Ms. Lange moved that the Board of Trustees of Middletown Thrall Library accepts the following budget transfer, to prevent a shortage: TO: L7410.8168.12.0000.6 Security Part-Time $30,000.00 FROM: L7410.8161.12.0000.6 Clerical Full-Time $30,000.00 Mr. Berkowitz seconded. Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Boyd, Crown, Sciucco - 6 Noes: None Motion declared approved. (04/11/18 - 24) Mr. Bell congratulated Ms. Lange for being elected President of the Friends of Thrall Library. Building & Grounds: Emergency repairs were necessary to the roof as water was leaking through the roof and onto the sheetrock ceiling in the entrance area of the Library. The sheetrock was damaged and a hole formed through which water was entering the building. The roof has been repaired and we have had no further leaks in that area of the building. Mr. Pfisterer has contacted our engineering firm for an update on the boiler replacement bids. Our exterminating contractor has informed us that we are not experiencing any infestation issues in the building. I. Old Business Mr. Pfisterer e-mailed the Board of Trustees the Patron Code of Conduct Policy. Discussion followed. Mr. Berkowitz moved to change the Patron Code of Conduct as presented. Mrs. Crown seconded. Ayes: Bell, Berkowitz, Lange, Boyd, Crown, Sciucco - 6 Noes: None Motion declared approved. (04/11/18 - 25) J. New Business Mrs. Boyd moved to accept the 2018 Budget Vote & Trustee Election Timetable. Ms. Lange seconded. (04/11/18 - 26) Mr. Berkowitz moved that Middletown Thrall Library require out-of-district users who request proctoring for exams that $25.00 be collected as a fee. Mrs. Boyd seconded.
