Minutes Bishop Smith moved for the adoption of the minutes of the December 14, 2022 monthly meeting. Mrs. Crown seconded. Ayes: Smith, Crown, Lange, Amelio - 4 Noes: None Motion declared approved. (01/11/23-5) C. Visitor Comments/Staff Report Bridget Manigo spoke about Operation Warm -140 coats were given out, along with hats, knitted and crocheted, by volunteers and a gift certificate to the Friends of Middletown Thrall Library Used Bookstore. She also spoke about the donations received from Bishop Smith and the Kiwanis Club of Middletown that was distributed in the form of a stipend to the teenage homework help volunteers. D. Added - No fines expired on 12/31/22, Mr. Pfisterer proposed to extend it for another three months (3/31/23). The board extended no fines until June 30, 2023. Ms. Milburn moved. Ms. Ortega seconded. Financial Officer's Report Ms. Milburn moved that the regular monthly disbursements for December, 2022 in the amount of $130,692.46 having been audited by Carl Berkowitz and found to be corrected, be approved. Bishop Smith seconded. Ayes: Lange, Amelio, Crown, Smith, Milburn, Ortega, Wyman - 7 Noes: None Motion declared approved. (01/11/23-7) H. Committee Report Building & Grounds: Requests for proposals to create HVAC engineering plans have been sent to three HVAC engineering firms with a submission deadline of 1-24-23. Conversion of the Library phone lines to a new service provider commenced on 1-4-23. There are configuration issues that have delayed completion and required us to call in phone techs to work with our current and former providers to bring all of our phones online. A tech team will be at the Library on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, to address these issues. Cleaning of the Library's HVAC ducts will be scheduled to take place in the near future. The plumbing contractor has been in to inspect the first-floor restrooms but has not submitted a revised proposal to attach new sinks and support in the restrooms. I.
