B.  Minutes
     Mr. Berkowitz moved for adoption of the Organization Meeting minutes of the January 11, 
     2017 meeting.  Ms. Lange seconded.

C.    Visitor Comments/Staff Report
	   Robert Tiess, Library Assistant, discussed technical services.


D.    Correspondence 
	   A copy of all correspondence sent to each Board member is attached to the official
               minutes.

               Mr. Pfisterer was contacted by a resident of the City of Middletown who is barred and 
               requested her privileges be restored.

	   A Town of Wallkill resident contacted Mr. Pfisterer expressing the lack of a bus route 
               directly to the library.  Discussion followed.

	   Mr. Bell read a letter from the Hogan family to the Board of Trustees of Middletown 
               Thrall Library requesting to sponsor the Barbara Kay Collection of Children's Books.
	   Discussion followed.  (Letter attached to the official minutes)

 Finance Committee: Mr. Berkowitz moved that the Board of Trustees of Middletown 
 Thrall Library accepts the following budget transfer to cover shortages in the 2016 
  budget:

	Mr. Berkowitz moved that the regular monthly disbursements for January, 2017 in the 
	amount of $68,318.53 having been audited by Richard Bell and found to be correct, be 
	approved.  Mrs. Crown seconded.

	Building & Grounds: Ms. Lange reported on Building & Grounds.
   Mr. Pfisterer had correspondence with the Library District's electrical engineering firm 
   and have been notified that work is proceeding on the new boiler installation project and 
   he will be keeping us informed as to progress.     

	   Our exterminator has reported that we are currently not experiencing any infestation 
               anywhere in the building.
	

I.   Old Business
	    Discussion was held on the proposed changes to the By-Laws.
                 
                 Ms. Lange moved to accept the change to Article II - Board of Directors - Section 1.  
                 Ms. Martini seconded.  Discussion followed.  Tabled until March meeting.


J.   New Business   
                 No report.
