Mrs. Crown moved for adoption of the minutes for the April 13, 2022 monthly 
meeting. Mr. Berkowitz seconded.

E.     President's Report  
The security monitor has been moved from the Director's office to the
Circulation Desk area. 


F.    Director's Report 
(A copy of the Director's Report sent to each Board member is attached to the official
minutes.) Added, a for profit company, has reached out to see if they could do onsite 
pop up Covid testing at the Library. 


G.    Financial Officer's Report
Mrs. Crown moved that the regular monthly disbursements for April, 2022 in the amount
of $114,787.42 having been audited by Bishop Robert Smith and found to be correct, be
approved.

2022 Budget Transfer #2
Mrs. Crown moved that the Board of Trustees of Middletown Thrall Library accepts the      
following budget transfer, to account for additional Workers' Compensation Insurance      
payment due, based on audit premium. Ms. Amelio seconded.

2022 Budget Transfer #3
Mrs. Crown moved that the Board of Trustees of Middletown Thrall Library accepts the  
following budget transfer, to cover a shortage in the “Service Contracts” budget line. 
Bishop Smith seconded.

H.   Committee Reports 
Building & Grounds: Both HVAC evaluation reports have been received and reviewed
by the Building and Grounds Committee and next step recommendations will be made in
Executive Session. 

Repairs to the Library's boiler exhaust system are scheduled to take place on 
May 11, 2022. 

Window guards for the Library's second floor windows will be ordered and installed in
the coming weeks. These guards will add increased safety to the public during times
when the second floor windows need to be opened. 

Our exterminating contractor has informed us that we are not currently experiencing
any infestation issues. 

Added, furniture will be arriving the end of May, and the Historic Wallkill Academy
Bell will be moved from its present location to another public area of the first floor
so that we may provide more public seating in the Library's Reading Room. 

Mr. Berkowitz moved to go in Executive Session to discuss contract negotiations at
5:21PM. Mrs. Crown seconded.

I.      Old Business
Mr. Berkowitz advised that the collection box for the Kiwanis Plastic Bag Recycling
Program has been doing well. Would like to put up a sign that collection will resume
in September, come August.

Discussed the 2023 Budget Committee.

Ms. Amelio moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:04pm. Ms. Lange seconded.
