G. Financial Officer's Report

H. Committee Report
Building & Grounds: We have received a proposal from our roofing contractor for
emergency repairs in the amount of $18,850. These repairs are necessary after new
leaks were recently discovered in Reference, first floor main stairway and Circulation
office areas of the building. Ms. Lange moved to set aside $20,000 for the emergency
repairs. Mrs. Crown seconded.

Ayes: Berkowitz, Sciucco, Lange, Crown, Bishop Smith – (5)
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (10/12/22-66)

I have solicited bids from plumbers to replace the sinks in the Library's first floor
restrooms. Our current sinks lack the support necessary to prevent them from coming
off of their mounts in the event that someone leans or sits on them. I recommend that
we move forward with a proposal that will provide a support structure behind the
existing walls to which the new sinks will be mounted. The existing wall will be
replaced by either a composite material (Melamine) or with Stainless Steel. The new
sinks will maintain our compliance with provisions of the "American with Disabilities
Act." Mr. Berkowitz moved to allocate $7250 Stainless Steel proposal. Ms. Lange seconded.

Ayes: Berkowitz, Sciucco, Lange, Crown, Bishop Smith – (5)
Noes: None
Motion declared approved. (10/12/22-67)

I have been told that I will be receiving the report from the HVAC engineering firm in
the next few days. I will schedule a meeting once we have received the report.

Our exterminators have reported that we are currently not experiencing any infestation
issues in the building.
