Thrall Library was built on the site of the Orchard Street School. Photo c.1905 by John H. Tuthill. Thrall Library was opened in 1901. Orchard Street School 1846 - pupils borrowed books from school library. 1878 Room at Wallkill Academy - public library. 650 old books and 500 new books. Opened May 10, 1879.
