Advanced Concept: File AttachmentsYou can send and receive things by e-mail other than regular text. For example, people can send pictures or word processing documents back and forth to each other. These additional items that accompany their electronic message are called file attachments. To view a file attachment, you will have to go to the part of a message that contains the additional information, which usually appears after the end of the person's message. Pictures usually display along with the message, but if BE CAREFUL: File attachments may contain viruses (programs that can harm your computer). Never just open a file attachment without making sure your computer has antivirus software on it (if it doesn't you will need to purchase the software at your local computer store). |
