  • Collections include books on Orange County and neighboring counties, city directories, genealogies, railroads, canals, the Catskills, church records, cemetery records, folklore, and more.
  • Serials include the Middletown and New Jersey Railway Historical Society Newsletter, O & W Railway Historical Society Observer, Orange County Genealogical Society Quarterly, Orange County Historical Society Journal, Middletown Historical Society publications, and more.
  • Special Collections include the records of Elizabeth Stivers Mills (includes historical and genealogical information about many Orange County people, places and events), Orange County Landfill studies, Stewart Airport, and more.
  • Some local history books are kept at our Reference Department.
