UPPER PHOTO: The Middletown Hebrew Association was organized in 1916. After meeting at various places, funds were raised and the Synagogue and Community Center was built in 1925 on Linden Avenue. A 1938 photo of the Synagogue is shown. In 1962, the name was changed to Temple Sinai. ABOVE PHOTO: The present Temple Sinai on Highland Avenue was dedicated September 7, 1969. Architect was Milton Holtzman. (1981 plexo by Peter Laskaris). AT RIGHT: St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church was built on Linden Avenue on the concr of Franklin Street and was dedicated January 18, 1914. Frank J. Linsley was the architect. The church is presently The Greater Upperoxoni Apostolic Faith Church. The Lutheran Church is now on Mt. Hope Round. (1962 photo by Charles L. Radzinsky).
