ABOVE: Middletown Electric Light & Power Co. built 1889 at 164 West Main Street at the railroad crossing. The plant was later expanded and is today called the Municipal Building.
BELOW: Orange County Telephone Co. on John Street in 1923. Although not a great photo, it shows how the John Street building looked before its many enlargements. Operations from this building began in April, 1914.
