Fire House of Excelsior
KING STREET FIREHOUSE (comer of King and Center Streets, now part of James Street parking lot): Photo below shows the building as built in 1899 with the Excelsior's hand-drawn truck in front. Phoe above shows the house in 1889. In 1910, the third floor was added as shown in the view at right. Top right photo was taken before the building was torn down during Urban Renewal program in the 1960s
