ABOVE: Middletown Glass Works was located off Lake Avenue at the end of Brink Avenue by the Erie tracks. It operated from 1887 until 1899. In 1900, it was destroyed by fire. Established in Middletown in 1900, Tuthill gained an international reputation for their fine cut glass. The factory was closed in 1923 and later used as a warehouse.
